My wife suffered a spinal injury from a riding accident which left her paralysed from the chest down. Our home, a converted chapel in the countryside, was no longer suitable. So, we purchased a two-storey townhouse that was in dire need of refurbishment with adaptations for a disabled person. The build involved removing virtually all internal walls and creating space with hard floors making everywhere accessible by wheelchair. Ramps, ceiling hoists, through-floor lift, kitchen with rise-and-fall surfaces and wet-room also needed to be installed. We handed the keys to Scott Olliver on the date we exchanged contracts. He handed them back to us seven weeks later in time for my wife’s discharge from hospital. The work was completed to a fantastically high standard, on time and within budget.
